MORE HEALTH for Africa Program (MH4A) – Cohort 3

The MORE HEALTH for Africa (MH4A) Program, a partnership between Boehringer Ingelheim and Villgro Africa, is seeking its third cohort of social enterprises working to improve healthcare access and outcomes across Africa. The 12-month program combines tailored business support, capacity building, investor linkages, research support, and catalytic funding to help high-impact enterprises strengthen their operations and scale their solutions.

Who can apply?

The program is looking for post-revenue social enterprises operating in Africa that:

• Have annual revenues of approximately US$300,000
• Have demonstrated impact, reaching at least 100,000 people
• Have a dedicated team and a clear growth strategy
• Are seeking to raise US$1 million or more in the following year
• Are focused on expanding healthcare access and impact.

What does the program offer?

Selected enterprises will receive:

• Catalytic funding of up to €80,000
• Tailored business and growth support
• Masterclasses, coaching and diagnostic panels
• Investor and partner connections
• Research support
• Global exposure through events in Germany and Africa
• Peer learning with founders from Villgro Africa’s current and previous cohorts.

The program is delivered in two six-month phases: Business Foundations, focused on strengthening business models, teams and governance, followed by Business Growth, focused on investment readiness, fundraising, market access and scaling.

Important: This is specifically aimed at established, post-revenue healthcare social enterprises, rather than early-stage ideas or individuals.
